The Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) and the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) launched the Agri-Negosyo Loan Program for Carabao Farmers at the PCC National Headquarters in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija on March 28, 2025.
The program, which follows a value chain financing approach, offers loans of up to P300,000 for individual farmers and up to P15 million for micro and small enterprises, cooperatives, and associations. These loans can be used for carabao dairy and beef production, processing, marketing, farm equipment acquisition, and facility construction.
With a low interest rate of only 2% per annum plus a minimal one-time 3.5% service fee for individuals and 3.5% per annum for enterprises, the program also offers capacity-building support to help farmers make the most of their resources and boost their productivity.
Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada, Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr., PCC Executive Director Liza Battad, and ACPC Director Noel Clarence Ducusin led the launching ceremony, which coincided with PCC’s 32nd anniversary celebration.
Prior to the official launch, ACPC and its partner lending conduits have already released P25.8 million in loans to four cooperative borrowers. More borrowers, endorsed by PCC from different provinces, are currently in the pipeline.
